I have been living in Belgium since 2015 but like many migrant women I couldn’t get any job despite my numerous academic qualifications and experiences.
I attended REMCREAD workshops and I was very much interested in the project’s participatory approach aimed to boost self-confidence of mothers and enhance their initial talents.
At the closure of REMCREAD I opened my own creative workshop in the Saint Léonard-Dony third-place site in Liège. My project promotes women’s creativity and well-being through artistic workshops such as floristry, upholstery, decoration, sewing and event planning services.
I also have a space “ACACIA CORNER” dedicated to helping mothers develop computer skills needed for their integration in EU society. I already have 3 computers available for migrant women. The aim is to fight digital exclusion by offering basic IT training (Word, Excel, Teams) and social support (CVs, cover letters …).
Moreover, I welcome interns in order to participate in migrant women's effective inclusion.
